Almost a year ago, I posted about a dream I had about Dr. Seuss. In my dream, Dr. Seuss reassured me that reading is still important.
In the past few months, it’s become joyfully clear to me that he was right! As I observe the emergence of “content marketing,” it truly warms my heart to know that educational and persuasive language is getting its due as vital to effective marketing.
In honor of the great writer who speaks to that playful side in all of us, here are a few of his words of wisdom:
“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”
(Not sure where this quote comes from, but I think it speaks to importance of communicating succinctly about the complex issues your clients face.)
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
(In addition to emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility, this quote from The Lorax could also speak to the importance of building a relationship with your audience by sharing knowledge.)
“I meant what i said and i said what i meant. An elephant’s faithful one-hundred percent!”
(OK, I’m not sure how this applies to content marketing or writing, but this quote from Horton Hatches an Egg has always been one of my favorites.)
One other thing: Today is Read Across America Day, so pass on the love of reading by participating in one of the National Education Association events to participate in. Or, just pick up a book and read to a random passing kid! (Just kidding. That’s probably not a good idea.)
"Laura just gets it. The white papers I write are changing perceptions and paradigms. They help people understand things that are commonly misunderstood, and as a result, they help us to qualify prospects."
